Singapore Conference Summary Report 30 October/ 2 November 2025

21-12-2025

by Roelf Odendaal, Boston Multi Family Office

Thursday - Pre-Conference tour

The visit began with valuable insights into Singapore’s remarkable evolution: A nation defined by resilience, innovation, and ambition. Its rich cultural diversity is matched by its pragmatic determination. Despite its limited geography, Singapore continues to prove that scale does not dictate potential. Its global success is built on overcoming adversity and leveraging challenges as catalysts for growth.

Pre-Conference Dinner
The evening fostered deep personal and professional connection. Long-time colleagues reunited with warmth, while new acquaintances quickly felt welcomed. The atmosphere underscored the importance of relationships as the foundation of business collaboration, strengthened, of course, by tasting local cuisine and hospitality at the Jumbo Seafood restaurant next to the conference hotel

Session 2 – The Singapore Model - Sharing our experience diversifying in APAC

Andrea Scipioni- Director, TGI Singapore Pte. Ltd.
Singapore’s government continues to empower SMEs through active policy support and an enabling environment for regional expansion. Its broad business ecosystem, encompassing companies of all sizes and sectors, makes it a highly effective hub for collaboration and conference hosting.

Session 3 – Relationship Capital and Opportunity
Moores Rowland in the Asia Pacific, as co-hosts of this conference, lead an insightful session on collaboration. Sustainable business growth depends on the strength of regional relationships. Delivering quality service earns trust, and trust expands networks. The message was clear: nurture relationships consistently, invite expertise where needed, and build risk frameworks that not only protect but enable opportunity.

Session 4 – Collaboration Through IPG Practice Groups – extending co-operation with Moores Rowland in the Asia Pacific
IPG’s expansion through new practice groups marks a strategic evolution in technical and cooperative capability. The emphasis on client co-operation reflects a shift from single-advisor models to integrated, multi-disciplinary advisory teams. Regional and global collaboration is now essential to resolving complex client challenges.

Session 5 – Embracing AI for Digital Transformation

Vivian Tay - COO, Braindge Singapore

AI is no longer a future consideration - it is an operational reality. Introduction and discussions on practical approaches to automation, risk mitigation, and human-AI integration. The consensus: AI should enhance, not replace, human intelligence. Success will depend on how thoughtfully it is embedded into business processes.

Session 6 – Transformation of Work, Culture, and Leadership in the AI Era

Dr. Sharon Lim, CEO of CoolRiots Singapore

AI is the future and as professionals we need to embrace it. Care should be given as it evolves but we should encourage our younger counterpart to make it part of their professional lives. Take caution not to rely on AI but to rather enhance what we do as humans.

We were very pleased that Baba Hady Thiam of Thiam & Associés could join the conference who represented our befriended network LEX Africa.

After a very intense and highly inspiring conference programme everybody enjoyed the gala dinner at the famous Singapore Cricket Club where networking and exchanges on a more personal level were continued.

Saturday - AGM

The following new members were welcomed to the group after their companies presentations to the membership.

  • Barnes Roffe Advisory Limited – United Kingdom

We also said sad farewell to Klaus Bertram, who indicated that he is leaving IPG due the acquisition of their firm Delta Revision GmbH by Nexia GmbH, which is part of an exclusive global accounting network, and therefore also needs to step down from the Board. Partick van der Werken and Selven Iyaroo were welcomed as new directors.

The next IPG conference will be in Luxembourg 7-10th May 2026.

  • The IPG M&A Community, led by Marjolein van Leeuwen, met in Amsterdam in June this year. It was a very successful event with positive feedback and relationships built. The next M&A Summit will be on 11th June 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany, hosted by our members Wolfgang and Linda Nockelmann.

Open Mic Highlights

  • Tomoyasu Naruse, Minami Fuji Group Japan/Singapore – presented an update on his firm’s team and services as well as on their remarkable social contribution activities.

All existing directors, LLP members and Persons with Significant Control (“PSCs”) who are also directors of the same entity are required to have their identity verified by the time of submitting the next Confirmation Statement (“CS01”) due from 18 November 2025. Barnes Roffe Advisory Limited have a specialised team to help with the procedure should any member needs assistance in this matter.

Action Points for the IPG members

  • Engage with MRAP and LEX Africa. Please reach out and build relationships.

  • Leverage and contribute actively to the IPG network focussing especially on LinkedIn: like comments and posts.

Conclusion
The conference reinforced a shared commitment to collaboration, adaptability, and technological integration. Relationships remain the core of business sustainability, while innovation and partnership define its future. Singapore served as a fitting backdrop; a living example of resilience.
